About Us

Jackpack Gear was born on the trail—out of two kids’ big imaginations and a simple problem: when the sun comes out, where do you put your jacket?

Brothers Aden and Eli loved exploring outside but hated wrestling jackets around their hips. With a little help from their dad, a longtime mountain rescue volunteer, they designed a better way: a rugged soft‑shell jacket with a shoulder‑integrated belt that quickly converts into a secure waist pack. No slipping, no fuss—just keep moving.

Today, Jackpack Gear builds apparel that’s playful, practical, and purpose‑built for real adventures. Our flagship “Jackpack” pairs all‑weather performance with clever carry: six large, easy‑access pockets, an oversized helmet‑friendly hood, and a patented adjustable belt system with utility loops for water bottles and tools. It’s a jacket when you need warmth, a pack when you need freedom, and a little extra confidence when the unexpected happens.

Our mission is to make outdoor time easier, safer, and more fun for families—by designing gear that adapts as fast as adventure does.

What We Value

Our Team
Aden
Co‑Inventor & Lead Designer

Aden is the mastermind behind the Jackpack’s core design—the integrated shoulder‑belt that turns a jacket into a secure hip pack. He brings inventive creativity to every prototype, constantly testing and tweaking details in the wild. When he’s not sketching ideas, you’ll find him playing football, soccer, or basketball; surfing and snowboarding; cooking for friends; or hanging out with animals (on camera if he can). He plays piano and bass, loves hiking and exploring, and gravitates to high‑altitude places with big, scenic views. Aden has a knack for finding intriguing objects outside—then figuring out how to hold, study, and build with them.

On the trail superpower: Spotting curiosities and turning them into clever, functional design features.

Eli
Co‑Inventor

Eli helped spark Jackpack’s original idea on family hikes. He’s all about movement and making—whether he’s practicing sparring drills, sketching creatures from his imagination, or launching into a pickup game of basketball or ultimate frisbee. When the trail calls, he’s first to scramble for the best walking stick, ford a stream, and spot wildlife. Favorite places: anywhere with rivers, rocks, and jungle‑level greenery.

On the trail superpower: Turning a simple stick into a multi-tool and a story.

Michael
Co‑Founder & Field Medic

Michael is a general surgeon and wilderness medicine physician who volunteers with the sheriff’s reserves and air rescue. He brings real‑world experience to our designs—focusing on how equipment actually performs in backcountry and emergency scenarios. He loves outdoor adventures of all kinds and the practical application of gear in survival situations.

On the trail superpower: Translating medical and rescue know‑how into simple, durable features families can trust.
