Privacy Policy

We keep this simple, because what we do with your information is simple: we use it to sell you a product and get it to your door.

What we collect. When you place an order or contact us, we collect your name, shipping and billing address, email address, phone number, and payment information. Payment card details are processed by Shopify and its payment providers; we never see or store your full card number. If you browse the site, Shopify collects standard technical information (IP address, browser type, pages viewed) through cookies.

How we use it. To take your order, process payment, deliver products, provide support, handle returns and warranty claims, prevent fraud, and meet tax, accounting, and other legal requirements. If you opt in to marketing emails, we will use your email address to send them; every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing is immediate.

Who we share it with. Only the service providers needed to run the store: Shopify (our e-commerce platform, which handles checkout, payments, fraud prevention, and basic analytics), payment processors, shipping carriers and our fulfillment partner (who receive your name and address to deliver your order), and our tax and accounting providers as required by law. We do not sell your personal information. We do not currently share it for cross-context behavioral advertising; if we ever add advertising tools that do (such as ad pixels), we will update this policy and provide any opt-out the law requires.

Cookies. Shopify uses cookies to make the cart and checkout work and to provide us basic analytics. Essential cookies cannot be disabled without breaking checkout. Our site does not respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals, because there is no accepted standard for them.

How long we keep it. Order records are kept as long as required for tax, accounting, fraud prevention, and warranty purposes, then deleted or anonymized.

Children. Our site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Some of our products are for adult use only.

Your rights. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information. Email support@jackpackgear.com and we will handle your request using Shopify's privacy tools and respond as the law requires.

Changes. If we change this policy, we will post the updated version on this page with a new effective date. For material changes, we will note the update prominently on this page.
